| WHAT IS A VESSEL SAFETY CHECK? The Vessel Safety Check is a FREE complimentary check of your vessel (Boat,PWC, or Kayak)
conducted by members of the North Lake Tahoe Coast Guard Auxiliary, confirming that it meets both federal and state requirements for safety. No citations are
issued and the results of the safety check are not
reported to any enforcement agency. Our goal is Safe Boating for you and your family. If your boat has all of the items required, you will receive the current Vessel Safety Check decal. Many insureance companies offer a discount for your boat insureance if your boat passess the Vessel Safety Check. If you are missing any items, the examiner will tell you what those are, and once replaced you will receive your Vessel Safety Check decal to be placed on your vessel |
